Talist Siwa is the kind of getaway you need to escape the ever increasing pressures of city life. Talist is a family-owned, designed and operated eco-lodge and organic farm. The name in Amazig local language means the lake, and was chosen to reflect one of the most important features in this eco-lodge, which is the view towards the lake.

Simplicity, beauty and tranquillity are what Talist offer. Eat organic, enjoy beauty, minimize waste, have an intimate talk with a friend. As a part of the ecological lifestyle, Talist has no electricity. You only use candle lights and gas lamps which give a unique mythical and fairy-tale mood.

Talist currently consists of:

• Four Double Bungalows each comprising a private bathroom, two single beds, a night stand, luggage stand and open shelves. Furnished and decorated with hand-made typical Siwian motifs.
• Three Triple Bungalows each comprising a private bathroom, two single beds, a big sofa bed, a night stand, luggage stand and open shelves. Furnished and decorated with hand-made typical Siwian motifs.
• One Quadruple Bungalow with four single beds and an attached private bathroom, night stands, wardrobes and sitting area.
• One Suite comprising two bedrooms and a private bathroom built according to the local Vernacular Siwian architecture accommodating up to 4 persons. Fully decorated and furnished with hand-made items.
• Three Double Rooms (with the possibility of adding an extra bed to two of them) built in Siwian traditional architecture comprising a double bed and a private bathroom. We also provide a natural spring water swimming pool, a restaurant with an external terrace and relaxing area and a small family house for the owners.

Day Activities At Talist there are number of possible day-time activities. You could start your day with the amazing sunrise view enjoying the sound of silence that is only broken by local birds. After having your homemade breakfast, you could start mountain climbing for an even better view of Siwa Lake, you could have a walk in the farm, socialize with your hosts, or take a dip in the swimming pool which is continuously fed by natural underground water. We could also arrange safaris (both day and night), camping, sand-surfing, and sightseeing tours for our guests upon request.

Night Activities After sunset, candles and gas lamps are lit, other than the moon, they are the only source of light thus adding a rather romantic atmosphere to the place. A traditional home-made Egyptian dinner is served followed by dessert and local tea. You could then escape the cold night by sitting around the fire with friends and loved ones or simply gaze at the pure sky and night stars. Again, you enjoy the rare and lovely sound of silence.
